Herpes natural remedies Herpes is a sexually transmitted disease characterized by painful sores in the genital area. Once contracted there are regular outbreaks of these sores. However the frequency of these outbreaks decreases with time.
In order to ensure that the chances of recurring outbreaks are slim make sure you follow some of the following precautions.
Maintain rigorous levels of hygiene. In the initial period of the infection regularly cleanse the genital area with water and some high quality but mild antibacterial soap. Bathe the area in warm water as often as possible and you could also dry it using the low setting on a hair-dryer. One natural remedy that has proven anti-germ properties is tea tree oil. Make a solution of water and 15-20 drops of this oil and bathe the infected parts as often as you like. This will reduce the intensity of the infection and make sure that it is contained.
Wear underclothing that allows your body to breathe naturally. The best option is unbleached cotton, which has no synthetic fibers in it. Both inner and outerwear should be loose and comfortable. In case of lingering dampness this will ensure that the area is air-dried naturally. Make sure you wash your hands after any contact with infected areas. This is to ensure that you do not spread the infection to other parts of your body or elsewhere. Along with hygiene eat high fiber food that is not loaded with preservatives and additives, exercise regularly and drink at least 12-14 glasses of water a day.
