Vaginal odor home treatment Vaginal odor can result from general causes such as poor levels of hygiene or specific causes like a yeast infection. First make sure you wash the area after urination with water and natural soap. Try a solution of water and lavender oil or sage oil, both of which have both cosmetic and antibacterial properties.
After a wash ensure that the area is completely dry. Lingering moisture can exacerbate the bad odor. Change underclothing often, even as often as 2-3 times a day if you wish to.
Invest in pure cotton undergarments and pants as these will ensure that the area is naturally air dried and will keep the sores from festering further.
If the vaginal odor results from a yeast infection continue with hygiene regimen. Along with that you can also implement some dietary and lifestyle changes. Eat healthy, living food such as raw fruits and lightly cooked vegetables. Switch to whole-grain breads and brown rice, instead of white bread or rice. Drink a lot of water as this will help flush out toxins in the systems that may contribute to the problem. Do not imagine that beer, coffee, and aerated beverages such as colas are a water substitute. They are not; in fact in most cases they dehydrate the body. So stick to plain, unflavored water. You could include the probiotic-rich plain unsweetened yogurt in your diet as this will help in tackling the infection.
