Ear wax removal home remedies Ear wax build up can reduce hearing and cause a lot of irritation. However, treating something like this at home must be done with care. Please read the following home remedies carefully and remember the most important thing — do not put anything inside your ear that you might not be able to get out — in particular, no metal objects!
Your first step will be in obtaining the right ear bud. These are available in various colors and brands, but they all mostly look the same: a stick of plastic with cotton on both ends of it. Please go for quality here. Some ear buds have been known to leave behind cotton inside the ears, and if something like this does happen, do not try to remove the cotton at home. A good quality ear bud can be used to gently clean the outer canal of the ear. Do not try to penetrate more than 3 centimetres. If you feel that after this too, your ear is blocked, visit an ENT specialist. A visit to the ENT is not half as scary as one to the dentist.
Earwax removal oils and drops are also available in the market. Please use one sparingly initially, and proceed with caution, looking out for side effects.
