Increase Height Naturally
It is very difficult to increase height after a certain age, especially once you've crossed your adolescent years. Height increase basically stops once the bones lose their elasticity, so it is important to maintain the elasticity of the bones for a longer period by exercising regularly. Before starting any exercise routine, make sure you have done some basic warm-up exercises and remember never to cross the threshold of your endurance.
Stand in an open space, your feet an inch apart, keeping your back straight with your arms by your side. Slowly inhale deeply, lifting your arms up till they are at shoulder height. Hold that position for as long as you can and then gradually move them backwards as far as they go. Release your breath, slowly bringing your arms back to the original position.
Another version of this exercise, involves bringing your arms to shoulder height while inhaling deeply, and lifting yourself on your heels as far as they go. Hold that position for a few minutes and then slowly exhale, bringing your arms and heels down. Finally raise your arms to shoulder height while inhaling then gradually raise them above your head, holding your breath all along. After a few minutes bring them down in a circular motion behind your back slowly releasing your breath as they arms return to their original position. Increase the number of repetitions of these basic stretching exercises from 5 counts to 15 over a period of time. Apart from these, you can also benefit from other activities such as hurdle jumps, high jumps, skipping, bicycle riding as well as gymnastics and basketball.
