Wisdom tooth ache remedies

Tooth ache, while seemingly benign can be crippling in the intensity of its pain and can effectively render a person incapable of even thinking due to the pain spreading across the jaws to the head. Wisdom tooth ache, usually the worst of the tooth aches, usually demands the attention of the dentist and more often than not leads to extraction for relief from the pain. However this is not always necessary and sometimes some simple home remedies can make the pain bearable.

The best and most popular solution is clove oil, which when applied to the affected area uses it antiseptic properties to soothe the pain. Alternately you could boil 4-6 cloves with a 2-inch piece of bark from the margosa tree in a cup of water and smear this mixture on the affected area for immediate relief from the pain.

Since Vitamin C not only prevents tooth decay and infections, but also soothes tooth ache, lime acts as an excellent remedy for tooth ache.

You could place a slice of lemon to reduce the pain. You could also soak a cotton swab in a slightly warm solution of lemon juice and asafetida and apply this swab several times a day to the affected area. Wheat grass, also helps to eliminate tooth ache, at the same time eliminating bacterial growth in your gums. Finally, garlic also works very well to reduce tooth ache, so you can apply a clove of garlic with a pinch of salt to the affected area for immediate relief. If the pain persists, then it is best to consult a dentist for adequate treatment.
