Vaginal infection advice
I have a greenish white discharge. My doc says its a vaginal infection and has prescribed both me and my husband antibiotic,metrogyl&doxycycline. How far will this treatment be useful. What if I get it again?

Your doctor has prescribed you to take metrogyl & doxycycline for treating vaginal infection. Medically these are the best antibiotics to treat bacterial vaginal infection. These antibiotics can be taken orally as well as inserted into the vagina for destroyting the bacteria responsible for causing vaginal infection.
Metrogyl, generic name Metronidazole, is an antibacterial drug that is clinically prescribed for treating various health disorders such as vaginal infections, urinary infections, amebic dysentery and liver abscess. This drug is harmless even during pregnancy.
Doxycycline is a tetracycline antibiotic that helps sin fighting bacteria present in the body. this medicinal drug is also used to treat various bacterial infections including vaginal infection, acne, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. This drug should be avoided during pregnancy because it can harm the fetus and result in permanent discoloration of the infant's teeth later in life.
A complete 7 day course can help you treat your infection and make you relaxed. There are chances of recurrence if you skip your medicines in between the course.
