Home Remedies for Split Ends
An excellent form of conditioner can be found in mayonnaise. As strange as it may sound mayonnaise is actually recommended by top salons as the perfect type of protein builder for dry split ends. Due to the rich content of eggs in mayonnaise and also vinegar it is actually the perfect solution to mend those damaged tresses.
Take a squeeze of mayo on your palm, the size of two pennies and massage this only on the ends of the hair. Work it on the split ends for at least five to 10 minutes before you head to rinse it out. However if mayonnaise is not your cup of tea and you feel queasy on putting it in your hair you can also try another favorite remedy by those who swear by it. Beer is a terrific setting after shampoo conditioner that kicks in a snappy, hearty, lustrous appearance especially for dry hair.
Take some of the malted brew in an empty spray bottle and use it on your hair once you’re through with the shampooing and towel drying. Let the hair still be slightly damp as you spray on the beer on your hair especially on the split ends. You can then style your hair the way you like after you have sprayed the beer. Most people believe that beer leaves an unpleasant odor, but once sprayed on to hair, the smell quickly vanishes. You will not be bothered about the odor.
