Home Cure for Sore Throat
A sore throat is the first warning of the things yet to come. If you feel a scratchy irritating sensation at the back of your throat then you have trouble at hand because it sees like the onset of a very obvious viral infection. A good way to get relief from the itchy sensation and relieve you of your symptoms would be to gargle with chamomile tea. Take a teaspoon of dried chamomile in one cup of hot water that has been freshly boiled. Let it steep for the next 15 minutes. Strain this liquid after the infusion and let it cool it till it is just tepid to touch. Use this liquid or tea to gargle as often as you can during the day or till you find relief.
Chamomile has many properties in relieving colds and soreness of the body. If the throat is tender to touch and then a good poultice made from chamomile once again comes to the rescue. A warmed poultice made from chamomile, wrapped around the throat, comforts soreness. To prepare the poultice, take a tablespoon of the dried flowers of chamomile and add it to a couple of cups of water that is boiling on a pot. As soon as you add the flowers, take the pot from the heat and let it infuse for the next 10 minutes. Strain the liquid and keep it aside. Take a clean cloth and soak it in the strained liquid. Squeeze out the surplus tea from the cloth, and wrap it around throat. When you notice the cloth has turned cold repeat the procedure once again.
