Home Remedies for freckles
Lemon juice and cucumber juice are widely accepted as safe natural bleaching agents for the skin. However care must be taken to see if you develop any allergic reaction to any of the ingredients, especially lemon. Some people with sensitive dry skin may display an adverse reaction to lemon juice, since it has strong astringent properties.
Take a lemon and slice it into two. Take one half of the lemon and wring out its juice straining the liquid. Add to this juice a couple of drops of warm water. Take fresh cotton pods or buds tipped with cotton and dip it in the liquid. Dab these soaked cotton pods onto the freckles one at a time. Let these little dabs stay on the freckles for as long as 20 minutes and wash them off later with cool water. Do not put the lemon juice on any other part or skin that has not been affected as it may cause the skin to irritate. As you continue with this application on a daily basis you will notice your skin lightening up and the freckles slowly fading off within a month's time.
Similarly for the cucumber application, grate a fresh cucumber and mix the liquid extract from the grating with one teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. Massage your skin with the help of this blend and concentrate on the freckles. This application can be left on the skin till it is dried and then wash it with cool water.
