Health Advice on Excess Vaginal Discharge
Vaginal discharge is mainly because of vaginal infection. This vaginal infection can be caused by various vaginal conditions such as bacterial infections, genital herpes, syphilis, yeast infection, Chlamydia, gonorrhea and trichoniasis. These vaginal problems produce a white foamy liquid that is excreted from the vagina with bad odor.
You should consult your gynecologist for the right cause of vaginal discharge. Once you are aware of the cause, you can plan to go for home remedies that can help cure various vaginal problems.
You can try some of the below mentioned natural cures for vaginal discharge:
If the discharge is due to bacterial infection, then vaginal gel or cream can be beneficial for resolving the problem.
Some also use Propionic acid jelly to treat bacterial infection. This jelly helps in making the vaginal secretions more acidic and inhibits the growth of bacteria. Garlic has antibacterial properties and thus it can be inserted into the vagina wrapped in cheesecloth to get rid of the infection.
If the discharge is due to yeast infection, you can use antifungal vaginal creams or suppositories. Garlic can also be used because it also has antifungal properties. It is also important to use condoms until the symptoms are relieved.
Other remedies such as ice packs, vinegar, cool compress and sitz bath are also beneficial for treating vaginal problems. Stress, depression, anxiety and unhealthy relationship with your partner can aggravate the condition.
