Home Remedies for Tooth Abscess
A small pocket or cavity of pus, seen around an inflamed tissue, is referred to as an abscess. They are also seen in other parts of the body. Foul tasting pus, unbearable pain on touching or chewing and redness of the gums with inflammation and tenderness are the symptoms of an abscess.
These pockets prevent the entry of the toxins into the blood stream.
Avoid usage of prescription drugs abuse, as it might result in allergies. Oral hygiene plays a vital role in prevention of a mouth abscess. Brushing and flossing are essential parts of oral care. An accident to the tooth also results in an abscess. A mixture of clove oil and peroxide is an effective remedy. Improperly left cavity leads to abscesses.
Toothache due to mouth abscess is relieved by gargling with a solution of quarter teaspoon of potassium carbonate in half a glass of water. Three to four times of gargling kills the bacterial infection and thereby reduces the pain. A visit to the dentist at regular intervals is important. Toothache or gum swelling due to an abscess is decreased by drinking two glasses of water, every half an hour. Place a slice of potato or a dry tea bag on top of the affected tooth. It gives immediate relief. Rinsing the mouth with 1.5 per cent hydrogen peroxide proves beneficial.
