Gastritis complications Scientific evidence does not conclusively prove that gastritis can cause anemia. However, there is a huge possibility that if left unchecked and allowed to become chronic, gastritis can lead to stomach cancer. This can only happen if you have had gastritis for years and have tried to cure it solely with the aid of over the counter drugs.
There are many ways to check gastritis, however. Since it will normally begin with indigestion and gas, you can start by taking care of that problem first. If you have painful gas, there are some very simple and effective remedies available.
You can drink the water of at least three to five coconuts in a day. This will help cool down your system. Follow this for a whole week as a remedial measure, and then do it regularly at least twice a week.
Eating papaya for breakfast will also help greatly in getting rid of excessive acidity and gas. You should also try to have yogurt for breakfast instead of milk. The live bacteria in yogurt will tamp down on acids, thereby soothing gastritis. Stick to a diet of as much fresh fruit as you can eat. Apples and papayas are particularly good, since they have medicinal properties that will help fight excessive acidity and gas.
