Yes aloe vera cream or gel or fresh aloe vera is considered a good home remedy for body rash. Aloe vera when mixed with vitamin E and cod liver oil also has potential effects to fight against a rash. Besides aloe try the following home remedies to get rid of the spreading rash:

• Apply some olive oil lightly (superficially don't rub immensely) over the rash to get rid of it.
  
  
  For more effectiveness of this remedy you can beat little water with olive oil and apply it over the rash.
  
• Oatmeal baths have a very soothing effect on the skin with rash. Simply put a cup of uncooked oatmeal in a bathtub along with a cup of full cream milk. Relax in the tub for 20-30 minutes. Oatmeal bath will help to relieve the itching and inflammation caused by a rash.
• Prepare fresh chamomile tea and wash the rash skin with this tea.
• If the rash is due to some perfumed soap, cosmetic, powder or spray then discontinue its use immediately.
• Don't rub or scratch the rash as it would leave the skin inflamed and in pain.
• Do not use hot water or soaps to clean a rash instead use only Luke warm water. Expose the area with rash to air but not to direct sunlight. If the rash is spreading or is very severe and is not responding to any home remedies then consult a specialist immediately.
