Natural Remedies for Foot Calluses

Foot calluses are often painful and are mostly due to the pressure on the skin surfaces of toes and feet through incorrect foot wear. Try the following home remedies for calluses:

  • Soak your foot in warm water for 15-20 minutes; this will help to make the skin soft. Then with the help of pumice stone rub lightly to wear away the dead skin.

This remedy when followed regularly will help to get rid of the callus.
  • Tie a fresh slice of lemon on the feet where callus is present and only remove it in the morning when you wake up.
  • Apply papaya juice over the callus thrice daily as it will act as an irritant and will help to treat callus effectively.

  • Callus removing plasters available in your local medical is also effective to treat stubborn callus.
  • A dry skin will make it easier for a callus to crack and bleed so keep your feet clean and well moisturized. Wear thick soled, shock absorbent comfortable footwear; neither too tight nor too lose to avoid pressure on your callus. Also wear clean comfortable cotton socks which are not too tight. Never try to cut or peel the callus at home, especially if you are suffering from diabetes.
