Alternative Treatment for Thrust
Thrust is a result of over growth of candida albicans (yeast) on the mucus membranes of the tongue or skin. It is often caused after the use of certain antibiotics. Try the following home remedies to get rid of thrust on tongue: Acidophilus is a healthy bacterium which helps to keep the yeast balance in your gut eat liberal amounts of plain yoghurt or yoghurt or drink 2-3 glasses of buttermilk daily.
- Try to avoid additional sugar in your diet especially sugary drinks chocolates, cakes, pasties, colas and carbonated drinks.
- After every meal brush your teeth with baking soda. Use a different toothbrush and discard it after the infection is gone. Scrap the tongue each time you brush your teeth, but don't get obsessed with it as you might sore it.
- Salt water gargles done twice daily would also promote healing and avoid thrust.
- The antiseptic properties in garlic help to clear thrush, add liberal amounts of garlic in your meals. Also chew 2 cloves of garlic daily in the morning before having your breakfast.
- Talk to your specialist and try to switch over some other medication with the same composition if possible to avoid thrush in future.
