Halitosis home treatment Bad breath can be a source of great embarrassment. Even after maintaining good oral hygiene by brushing teeth in the morning and night and flossing regularly, one may experience bad breath. Fortunately the remedies are simple and reasonably effective.
- Try and avoid eating raw onions and garlic
- Gargle with mouthwash whenever you feel like your breath smells bad. This is an instant fix.
- Cheese, processed meats and sea food are all major offenders when it come to breath
- Remember to clean your tongue. You can use your brush to gently scrape of the white deposit on your tongue every time you brush.
- Drink lots of water. If your mouth is dry, it may smell bad. Chew on some sugar free gum to keep your saliva flowing
- You can carry a small pouch containing anise or clove seeds and chew on them to freshen your breath in a jiffy.
- Chew on some parsley. Parsley is a good breath freshener.
All of these remedies will fix the problem in the short term, but if your stomach is not in good condition, bad breath will be a recurring problem. Proper elimination and regular bowel movements are necessary. Try and eat at least 3 meals a day and don't let yourself stay hungry for too long.
