Hair fall natural remedies
Oily hair is on account of excessive secretion of sebum from sebaceous glands. Heat and humidity can also cause hair to be oilier than usual. The last thing you should do is to try and get rid of excessive oil by washing your hair with harsh shampoos.
This will cause your glands to go into overproduction and aggravate the problem. Wash with a mild shampoo every day if need be. Massage shampoo into the scalp and leave it on for five minutes and wash it off.
If you need to use conditioner, only apply it to the tips of the hair and not to the scalp.
Some natural remedies for oily hair include:
While brushing your hair do not touch your scalp. Brush the hair starting a couple of inches away from the scalp. Brushing the scalp will induce oil production
Taking Omega 3 oil supplements such as fish oil or flax seed oil helps balance oil production
Apply a natural astringent such as lemon juice to the scalp and leave it on for fifteen minutes before washing it off
While shampooing make sure that lather forms properly with the shampoo before the final rinse. If the hair is still oily, suds will not form properly.
For a quick fix sprinkle corn starch on to your scalp, work it in to the hair and dust it off. This will help soak up excess oil.
An infusion of watercress in water can be used as an after shampoo rinse
Mix a cup of water with half a cup of vinegar and use it as an after shampoo rinse.
