Palpitations alternative remedies
I have palpitations but a cardiologist has said they are ok and did a holter monitor test etc. However, I find them tiring. Does anyone have any home remedies to stop them? Many thanks.

Palpitations alternative remedies Usually a single skipped beat or a racing heartbeat after some kind of activity are nothing to worry about, but if this happens several times a day or if your heart starts beating much faster without any obvious cause you should speak to a doctor. Since your doctor has already ruled out a serious problem, hopefully there is nothing to worry about as such.
Here are some remedies to help with the problem:
- Please quit smoking if you are a smoker.
This increases your risk of developing heart disease - Try and eat small quantities 4-5 times a day instead of 3 big meals to avoid metabolic overload. This stresses out your system.
- Before exercise spend at least 10 minutes warming up and take a further ten minutes to cool your body down.
- Try and avoid playing competitive sports as they are a high source of stress
- Reduce your intake of alcohol or caffeinated drinks such as coffee and colas. They are stimulants and can exacerbate the problem.
- Some OTC decongestants can make palpitations worse, so please check with your doctor about any medications that you are currently taking or may have to take in future.
