Natural Treatment for Bacterial Infections

Vaginal infection is a common problem suffered by many women. Your question is vague. Do you mean bacteria infection of the vagina?

Vaginal expulsion is characteristic of bacterial vaginosis, an irregular condition of the vagina. It is also referred to as Garderella vaginitis. Bacterial inhabitants in the vagina result in this condition.

Tea tree oil is an effective remedy. Added to vitamin E oil, it forms a better remedy. It is dipped in tampons and inserted in the vagina. But any kind of remedy requires the guidance of your gynaecologist.

A decoction of Echinacea, barberry and goldenseal are excellent remedies for vaginal infection. Antibiotics are recommended based on the type of infection. Garlic, used as a suppository is also helpful in providing relief from vaginal infection. This is due to the fungistatic and anti bacterial activity. Vaginal douches are better to be avoided. Cotton panties help in breathing and decrease the moisture. Lack of moisture decreases the possibility of bacterial growth. Sexual intercourse is avoided to prevent further infection, especially during treatment. Vaginal lubricants are not allowed. Visit your gynaecologist for further guidance.
