Home Remedy for high cholesterol

Despite being bad for you in excess quantities, cholesterol is an essential substance for the human body. This substance is found in digestive bile and in sex hormones. Low density lipoproteins (LDL) and high density lipoproteins (HDL) are the two kinds of cholesterol.

LDL is what is known as bad cholesterol and is responsible for clogging the arteries and promoting heart problems. HDLs are known as good cholesterol and these lipo proteins bring cholesterol back to the liver. There are a number of simple home remedies that you can use to bring down your cholesterol levels.

You need to make some permanent lifestyle changes if you want to successfully lower your cholesterol for the long term. You need to eat healthy and ensure that you get some exercise everyday. Do not food that contain saturated or trans fats. Ensure that you avoid eating red meat and dairy products. You should use healthy options like olive oil and sunflower oil to cook your food. Ensure that you consume at least a few pods of garlic each day because it reduces your LDL levels and increases the HDLs. You should mix chicory root, lime flowers, a little ginger rhizome, and some fenugreek seeds in some water and boil it. Once this has cooled, you should strain and drink this mixture.
