Information on High Blood Pressure

A normal person's blood pressure would be considered high if it remains consistently over the prescribed limits of 80 over 120. However, to determine that there is a problem of high blood pressure in an individual, there would also be other accompanying complaints. Common symptoms of blood pressure would include headaches, dizziness, general discomfort and uneasiness.

Whether all of these symptoms add up to high blood pressure would have to be determined by a doctor.

It is relatively easy to lower your blood pressure by making certain changes in your lifestyle. You must follow these changes strictly. Eat a clove of raw garlic with every meal. Garlic is considered the most essential form of therapy to regulate blood pressure. If you do not want to chew garlic, swallow it with warm water. Have a chopped mix of cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes and beetroot, with no additional dressing with every meal. Spinach and collard greens are proven remedies to reduce blood pressure. Add these to your daily diet. You must cut down on your salt intake to reduce blood pressure. Table salt has to be eliminated. It is important for you to get rest when you have a problem with high blood pressure. Try to target sleeping for eight hours every night. If you can, include a 30 minute nap into your day. Adequate rest will reduce stress, which is one of the primary causes of blood pressure.
