Natural Treatment for Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an inflammatory disease of the central nervous system that usually attacks young adults, more commonly women. This condition affects the parts of the brain and the spinal cord that are known as white matter. The main symptoms for MS are muscle weakness, problems with your speech, difficulty while moving, and a problem with motor balance.

Despite a great deal of research into the diseases, the exact cause of MS is still an elusive secret. Some people think that because it is almost non-existent in tropical areas, it might be caused by a lack of vitamin D in childhood.

There is no known cure for MS but a number of treatments have helped provide normalcy to patients.

It is thought that including vitamins and polyunsaturated fats improves the condition of the patient. You can make a bath from the catnip herb and soak in it or even drink it as a tea. You can also drink chamomile tea because it has anti-spasmodic properties and also helps encourage sleep. Some people have also found that exercise helps in getting rid of the symptoms of MS. Some people have reported that though there might have been a few newer lesions in the brain, after starting to exercise, such as swim regularly, they have not experienced any physical symptoms of MS. Remember that it is essential that you are in constant touch with your doctor about your condition.
