Dietary Advice on Alcoholism

Alcoholism is a dependence that a person develops on liquor, chronically consuming it in quantities that are well beyond their ability to drink. This leads to them being in an inebriated state and causing a great deal of embarrassment to themselves and the people that they might be with. Drinking too much once in a while is something that a number of people are guilty of but when you allow the habit to control you, it turns into an addiction.

Alcoholism is bad for all the major organs in your body such as the liver, the kidneys, the heart, and the brain.

There is no evidence to suggest that alcoholism is related to acute hunger. Some alcoholics in recovery do feel a greater degree of hunger once they have quit drinking but there is no scientific evidence to show a co-relation between the two.

There are a number of simple home remedies that you can use to lessen the effects of alcoholism. You should drink a lot of fruit juice because this brings down the level of alcohol in your blood. You can also eat fruits such as banana and apples to remove the toxins that accumulate due the consumption of alcohol. It is also suggested that being on an only grape diet will also help rid the patient of the urge to drink. Carrot juice is also very beneficial in lowering the need to drink.
