Tooth pain natural remedies

Toothache is easily taken care of at home. However, please remember that if it persists for more than a week, you should get a medical opinion on how to deal with it or else you may end up losing your tooth. Rinse your mouth with dilute hydrogen peroxide.

Follow this with a warm salt water rinse. This will kill the infection, temporarily control the pain as well as sanitize your mouth. As an alternative, you can use a baking soda mix, which would be a glass of water with a teaspoon of baking soda stirred into it.

An age old remedy for toothache is clove oil. You can apply clove oil to the aching tooth. The most effective way to do this is to dab a wad of cotton with a couple of drops of clove oil and clamp it between the tooth that is aching and your cheek. Try to leave this there till the taste of cloves fades away. Do it as often as you like. However, bear in mind that excessive clove oil may even cause a rash in your mouth and lead to a sore. So you would need to gauge your reaction to it and apply it accordingly. Vanilla or almond extract will also work to numb the pain. Apply the extract directly to the affected tooth. Stir in a teaspoon of tea tree oil in a cup of water and swish it around in the mouth. Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic and will help to kill the infection.
