Sore throat natural remedies It is quite easy to take care of a sore throat at home. There are several remedies easily available in the kitchen. Ginger is a specially recommended therapeutic remedy to heal sore throats.
You can suck on a piece of dried ginger all day for relief. Alternately, you can also have ginger candy. Prepare a mix of equal parts of honey and ginger juice and have three teaspoons of this a day.
All of these remedies will help to ease the soreness.
Make a decoction of a teaspoon each of powdered cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper, ginger and powdered sugar. A teaspoon of this mixture taken twice a day with honey or warm water will help ease soreness and will also help you heal a sore throat. For soreness due to incessant coughing, tuck a clove or a cardamom in your cheek and leave it there all day. This will lessen the cough and provide relief from mucus as well. Prepare a mix of warm water, four teaspoons of honey, a quarter teaspoon of common salt and the juice of half a lime. Have this twice a day. It will help take care of mucus and infection that leads to sore throats. A glass of hot milk taken with a pinch each of turmeric and pepper powder every night will help you to sleep peacefully.
