Although food plays a primary role in a problem like a bloated stomach, it is always advisable to get this checked out by a medical professional. A bloated stomach could also signal other things such as an internal injury or inflammation. If your condition is temporary and comes about when you have overeaten, then there is no cause for concern.


If it has been around for more than a week, get it checked out. For bloating due to food-related problems, there is a vast variety of simple remedies available.

If you are constipated, have a glass of warm milk with two crushed figs added to it before bedtime.


This will clear out your system the next morning. If you are feeling excessively gassy, you can chew on a piece of ginger all day. This will help you get rid of gas and will help subside your tummy as well. You can also chew on anise seeds, as these are considered very useful in helping to digest your food easily. They will also give you fresh breath. Make a mix of the powders of equal parts of asafoetida and cumin seeds and swallow half a teaspoon with warm water. For release from excessive gas, a 15-minute stroll will also help you tremendously.
