Tips to remove wax from ears If you have excessive wax build-up in your ears, it is best to go to a doctor for wax removal. However, if you want to work out a routine cleaning program for yourself so that you do not have excessive wax build-ups at all, there are several methods you can try to keep your ears clean on a regular basis. The first one is to put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in the ear and let it stand for 10 minutes.
Then, use a swab to clear out the dirt that has risen to the surface. Do this twice a month and you will find that no dirt of any kind can stick in your ears. You can also use paraffin oil to remove ear wax. Warm a few drops of it in a tablespoon over a flame. Touch with a finger to test that it is not too hot and then pour a couple of drops into your ear. Let it lie for a while so that it will melt the wax, then drain it out. Put an excess of warm water in your ear and irrigate any remainder of the oil. The wax will come out with the warm water. You can flush out your ear with water thrice. This is a good way to clean out any waxy deposits and can be safely done about once a month.
