Ingrown toenail natural cures

Ingrown toenails are extremely painful under any circumstances. There are very few remedies that work for them. One of the best ones is to clip them, but since this is practically impossible due to the pain, you must keep your feet soaked in warm water for at least 30 minutes.

This will soften the nail and ease it out of the pocket of skin it has settled into and make clipping it easier. Use a nail clipper for this purpose, and do not even try to use a pair of scissors, as you will make the nail worse. If you add a little Vicks Vaporub to the water, the area around your ingrown nail will become numb and will make this marginally easier for you.

It is important to remember to cut your nails properly in order to avoid the ingrowth. Make certain that the sides of the nail are parallel to each other. You will have to skip the curves as this will make the nail dive deeper into your skin. Any curvature must only begin at the top of the toe, when the nail is free and clear of your skin. You will also need to avoid wearing closed shoes if you have this problem, as they will only aggravate it further.
