Tooth abscess is basically observed in an individual in the form of the accumulation of pus either below the tissues that surround a particular tooth or even around the tooth. In some cases a bacterial infection or even gum disease may result in tooth abscess. Before taking up any tooth abscess home remedy one should first try and find out the exact cause of the tooth abscess so that appropriate treatment may be administered.
The tooth abscess related pain in the jaw is mostly a result of tooth decay. Some of the other known causes that may result in certain parts of the tooth getting exposed are gingivitis and physical injury to the tooth. As a result of which there are openings formed in the tooth enamel which may allow bacteria to easily gain entry to the center of the tooth. In some serious tooth abscess cases, the infection may even spread to the bones that support the tooth. Some of the commonly observed tooth infection symptoms include headaches, dizziness, and a continuous and extremely severe toothache which in turn may also result in sharp pangs or throbbing pain. Tooth infection symptoms also include swelling of the neck glands, gum and even fever and pain while chewing which may also extend to sensitivity while eating hot or cold foods. One of the home remedies for tooth abscess treatment includes applying a cool compress on the area that is swollen so as to minimize the swelling. This should be done for at least 20 minutes to gain relief.
Similarly another tooth abscess pain treatment is to gargle ones mouth with some warm salt water. This treatment is one of the effective home remedies for tooth abscess because the warm water tends to help in relaxing the oral cavity and the salt in turn acts as an antiseptic thereby promoting the healing of the tooth abscess infection. However while following this treatment one should ensure that they do not follow the warm salt water and instead only keep gargling and spit the water out when done. Another one of the tooth abscess treatment for pain relief is to dip a cotton swab in some salt and baking soda. And then use this cotton swab to wipe the gum line. While doing so one should ensure that they press the abscessed tooth as much as possible with the cotton swab. Home remedies for tooth abscess pain relief also include sprinkling some salt on a dry tea bag. This tea bag should then be placed next to the infected tooth and allowed to remain for a couple of hours. This remedy is known to be effective as it apparently draws out the infection from the abscessed tooth and reduces the tooth abscess and swelling. The most popular and most effective tooth abscess home remedy is to apply some clove oil on the infected tooth. Alternatively one may also chew on some fresh cloves. However one should ensure that they do not swallow too much of the cloves residue while following this treatment as it may result in acidity and thus cause more discomfort to the individual. Tooth abscess treatment in children also includes the use of tea tree oil mouthwash thrice a day on a daily basis. This treatment is known to be effective as it helps in disinfecting the area. In some extreme cases , if home remedies do not help in treating the infection or in minimizing the pain then the dentist may also suggest that the person go in for a root canal treatment or a complete tooth extraction altogether. One should always keep in mind that the tooth abscess home remedies are not a permanent cure and should only be used to gain temporary relief from the pain.

An abscess is a skin condition that occurs when bacteria attack the body. If your immune system is low, you are more likely to suffer from abscesses than when the immunity is high. The invading microorganism may affect any area of the body, but it is mostly likely to affect the exposed areas such as the face, neck, hands, feet and legs. Abscesses are usually raised areas on the skin that are filled with pus. Pus forms when the body’s white cells fight the infection. It contains the dead bodies of these infectious microorganisms and the body’s white blood cells that were destroyed protecting the body. Usually, when the infection keeps progressing, a wall of tissue forms around the site of infection. This is then known as an abscess.
Abscesses also form in teeth. A tooth abscess is essentially formed when there is an infection in the mouth, and the infected material or the pus begins to collect around the tooth. An abscessed tooth infection is almost always caused from the presence of bacterial infection in the center of the tooth. Abscessed tooth treatment is dependent on the extent of damage that the bacteria have caused. A minor cavity can be filled, but in case of a serious infection, the dentist may have to perform a root canal surgery or may have to remove the tooth completely. You can also opt for an abscess tooth home remedy, but only after the doctor has taken a look at it and has declared the infection to be mild.
An abscessed tooth is usually a complication of the decay of teeth. If the abscess is not caused by decay, it could be caused by a trauma or an injury to the tooth. If you have a broken or a chipped tooth, it may cause an abscess as well. Broken teeth allow easy entrance to the bacteria and therefore are more prone to abscesses. The infection leads to a collection of pus in the gums and subsequently, there is swelling. If the abscessed tooth swelling is not managed, it can eventually become extremely difficult to manage the pain. Abscessed tooth pain management is usually the main focus of the dental treatment. Abscess tooth home remedy also focuses chiefly on the alleviation of pain in the tooth.
Abscessed tooth symptoms include severe ache in the tooth, continuous pain that is sharp and gnawing, and throbbing in the gums. Some of the other symptoms are bitter taste in the mouth, bad breath, general malaise, and a slight fever. Additionally, if the tooth has been chipped, you may experience heightened sensitivity to hot and cold foods as also drinks, swelling of glands in the neck, pain while chewing, and swelling in the upper jaw. For immediate abscessed tooth pain relief, gargle twice a day with warm salt water. This is one of the best abscessed tooth infection home remedies that prevent the infection from spreading. If there is severe infection, the doctor will offer you antibiotics as well.
For pain management, you can take some over-the-counter pain relievers. If you are taking an aspirin, avoid placing it near the tooth or the infected gums as it will only increase the irritation in the mouth. Irritation of the gums may also lead to ulcers in the mouth. Placing a warm compress over the mouth is one of the simplest abscess tooth home remedy. In order to save the tooth, the doctor may perform a root canal. Since the abscessed tooth infection symptoms are extremely painful, in severe cases, the tooth is extracted and the infected nerves are removed. This not only takes away the pain, but also helps in preventing the spread of the infection.

Abscess of tooth and body Based on just a single word, it is neither clear what you are looking for nor exactly what you are suffering from. An abscess is simply a build up of pus in a cavity that forms in the tissue following an infection. This can happen on any part of the body including the mouth — tooth abscesses are quite a common problem that develops when a tooth infection is left unattended for a long period of time. In addition, abscesses can form on internal organs as well, such as the lungs and the kidneys. The causes can also be many — apart from something like a tooth infection, a wound that becomes infected can also lead to the formation of an abscess, as can a foreign object that becomes lodged in the flesh, such as a bullet or wood splinter.
If you are looking for a home remedy, there is none. An abscess is a serious medical problem and cannot be treated at home. Your doctor will need to incise and drain the abscess, after which further surgical treatment may be necessary. In addition, there may be no other option than to use antibiotics. You should visit a doctor immediately to prevent the infection from spreading or the wound from turning gangrenous.
