Toe nail fungus home cures

Fungal infections of the nail are extremely common, particularly with the toenails, and this is mainly because this is the one area of the body that we pay the least attention to. The feet are often not kept clean and hygienic, and they are allowed to stay dirty and most a lot of the time, along with the footwear used. This allows fungi to take hold, which then results in infections of the skin and toes in this area.

For a severe infection, especially if you are experiencing pain, you will probably need to visit a doctor for treatment, but minor fungal infections can be treated at home. Twice a day, you should soak your feet in a solution of vinegar and water for fifteen minutes at a time. The fungal infection is under your nail, so you should lightly file the top of the nail before soaking it, to enable the solution to reach the nail bed better. You can also apply tea tree oil to the nail, similarly filing it before applying the oil. Also, whenever you wash your feet or soak them, make sure that you dry them thoroughly once you're done. Put on any footwear only once your feet are completely dry.
