Severe hair loss causes and cures Although we all lose hair on a regular basis due to a variety of reasons, this is usually restricted to a few strands of hair. From your account it sounds as if you are losing your hair in clumps. You should consult your doctor about these symptoms since these could indicate some other, more serious medical condition that requires immediate attention.
You can try some easy remedies at home to help stop hair fall. First of all you should look for a gentle shampoo. Shampoos usually have a very high percentage of harsh chemicals which can adversely affect hair growth. You should also avoid washing your hair frequently and restrict this to twice a week. Try washing your hair in lukewarm water instead of hot water and avoid combing it when it is wet. A regular massage with warm coconut oil will help arrest hair fall and make your hair stronger. Both olive oil and castor oil are effective when massaged into the scalp. You can also massage the white of a raw egg into your scalp. Use dried pieces of Indian gooseberry to make a rinse for your hair. Soak these in water overnight and use the water to rinse your hair. Keep your hair covered when you go out, to protect it from the elements.
