Alternative remedy for boils

My daughter is 2 1/2 years old. Has boils on her forehead and nose. Since she is a small baby it is quiet difficult to find a correct medicine to cure it.

Alternative remedy for boils

Boils are usually caused by a bacteria called Staphylococcus aureus. This is quite infectious and spreads to other parts of the body quite easily. If your daughter has boils, chances are other family members will get them too.

The first thing you need to do, is to make sure that no one shares their towels, combs or other personal items with anyone else in the house. This is to prevent people reinfecting each other. Buy an antibacterial soap and get your family members to wash their hands frequently, especially after coming into contact with your little one.

Try putting your daughter on a better diet that will help cleanse her system. Raw or steamed vegetables, fruits and whole grain cereals will help boost her immunity. She should not be constipated and BMS should be soft, but not liquidy.

Give her no junk food at all. Also avoid spicy foods. The juice of garlic and onion when applied on the boils will help them ripen and break quickly. Black cumin seeds ground with a little water to make a paste can be applied to the boils to help drain them. Applying a drop of tea tree oil to the boil will work wonders. If turmeric is available, then a mixture of ginger and turmeric may be applied directly to the boil. Trumeric is an anti-inflammatory and will help reduce the pain apart from speeding up the healing process.

Apply alternate ice cold and warm compresses to the area until the boils erupt. Even afterwards, continue the warm compresses until the boils drain completely. Always touch the boils with sterilized hands and wash thoroughly with an antibacterial soap afterwards.

Once the boil is gone, take all care to ensure that she does not get reinfected. Wash her hands frequently and keep all her personal items separate from the family's things.
