Abscess tooth advice and home remedies

A tooth abscess can be a painful and protracted affair. If you are having this kind of trouble for more than a week, it is better to see a dentist and figure out the problem to take care of it. If you are trying some remedies and they do not help in a week or so, you may end up losing your tooth without medical assistance.

You must sanitize your tooth by rinsing your mouth with hydrogen peroxide. This will clean your tooth from the surface. If you follow this with a warm salty mouth rinse, it will provide relief.

You can place a used chilled tea bag on your abscess. This is supposed to help in drawing pus out of the tooth. This is not a medical procedure, and whether or not it will extract pus, you can be certain it will provide the much-needed relief. A proven method for dealing with toothache due to any problem is to apply clove oil to the tooth. If you cannot get clove oil, simply clamp a clove down on that tooth and let it stay. Vanilla or almond extract also works to numb the pain. It can be applied directly to the affected tooth. Tea tree oil is anti-fungal and antiseptic in nature and when you rinse your mouth with a diluted solution, it will help greatly.
