Ear Pain home remedies 

You could be having ear ache due to several reasons. You could have some sort of infection, excessive cold, or swimmer's ear. There are several generic remedies you can follow for any or all of these methods.


One of the most effective remedies for persistent earache is to put a few drops of freshly squeezed garlic juice in the ear. Garlic has antibiotic and antibacterial properties that will help your ear to heal. If you are a frequent swimmer, it is possible that you have contracted swimmer's ear, which is a mild infection of sorts. Please do remember to always put a few drops of mineral oil in each ear and then plug your ears with ear plugs before going for a swim.

For general aches, you can apply a warm compress against the ear for relief. You can also use a hot water bottle wrapped in a towel and lie down with the aching ear on it. It is possible that you have neglected to clean your ears for a while and this is causing the pain. You should put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in each ear and let it stand for about five minutes in each ear. You will hear a crackling sound which will indicate that it is working and the dirt is rising up. Clean well with a swab.
