How to treat tongue blisters in toddlers?

A mycoplasma infection is something that could be a cause for the blisters on your baby's tongue. Make sure that your baby gurgles regularly with an antiseptic mouthwash. Train the child well before you give them the mouthwash to spit what they gurgle with. Do not let them drink the mouthwash. In between the gurgling, make sure your baby drinks loads of water – at least 8 glasses a day.

Also, in case you haven't already visited a physician with your baby, do so. Such mouth infections are cause of worry – especially in young kids.

If your baby has herpes, then he / she might also have a fever and red, bleeding gums. Herpes can be battled with a good diet. Again, make sure the kid drinks a lot of water and eats a lot of bland food. Yoghurt is a great thing to feed the child. As far as spicy and salty foods go, deny these completely.

There are antiviral creams available in the market for such conditions – but please consult with a doctor before you expose your child to such treatment.

A final probable cause could be Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. In such a case, the feet are covered in blisters too. If this be the case, wait for the disease to heal itself.
