Foot corn home remedies

A corn is nothing but the thickened skin. This usually occurs on the toes and is painful. Sometimes corns make walking difficult.

Ensure that you wear the right kind of footwear. Avoid wearing very hard soled shoes since these will be abrasive on the corn. Instead, opt for soft shoes.

You can prevent the skin on the soles of your feet from thickening by applying a paste made of liquorice. Grind three or four sticks of liquorice. Add a few drops of sesame oil. This paste should be rubbed into the corn. Regular usage will help soften the skin.

Lemon can also be used to soften a corn. Cut off a slice of lemon. Tie this over your corn and leave it overnight. Repeated usage of lemon on your corn will definitely soften the corn.   Raw papaya is another effective remedy. Use the juice of raw papaya on the corn. Apply this thrice a day and you will see a difference in the corn.  You can also use the milky sap of raw, unripe figs to effectively treat your corn. Extract this milky juice and apply this to the corn.  You should also wash your feet regularly. Pat your feet dry and then apply some powder.
