Toe nail fungus home cures

Infections often attack our toenails. A fungus likes a place that is warm, dark and damp. Your feet provide the perfect breeding spot for fungus of any kind.

We wear shoes and socks throughout the day. Our feet, encased in their narrow prisons, barely have breathing room. Instead they find themselves sweating.

The sweat often gathers in the space under our nails. This becomes the perfect place for fungus infections to strike. That is why you notice that your feet smell rather more than usual when you take off your footwear at the end of the day. Your toenail looks thick, even yellowish. It seems flaky and brittle.

First of all you will have to take a little more care of your feet. Ensure that they get the opportunity to breathe. Take off your shoes and socks and let your feet breathe. Wash them well each time you take off your footwear. Change your socks regularly. You can also soak your feet in some warm water at the end of the day. Soaking the affected nails in distilled vinegar helps clear up the infection. However, remember to dry your feet properly after this. You can also massage tea tree oil into your toenails. Do this regularly and you will notice that the infection goes away.
