Head lice natural treatment

An infestation of head lice is particularly dangerous in small children. You must try to get rid of it as quickly as possible, or else it may spread to other family members. It is best to arrest the problem before it takes on large proportions. You can start treating this infestation by applying a mixture made of equal parts of mineral oil and vinegar. Rub this concoction into your scalp. The vinegar will help to kill the lice and the mineral oil will provide relief from itching. This is a very effective remedial measure. Mayonnaise is also considered to be a good remedy in getting rid of lice. You can rub it deeply into patches of the scalp where you can actually see lice and eggs nesting and leave it on for about half an hour. Wash with regular shampoo. This will aid in removing lice in as little as two days.

You can also try applying shaving cream to the scalp. This can be applied and left in for about 20 to 30 minutes. It will take this much time to kill the lice. Follow this procedure daily for a week or more if required. Tea tree oil is an excellent remedy to kill lice. You can add a few drops of it to the shampoo you use regularly and this will work very well.
