Home Remedies for Vomiting
Since when have you been vomiting after consuming food? You have not provided any details at all, so it is impossible to say what the problem could be, much less provide any suggestions for treatment. In most cases, vomiting is simply due to some temporary dysfunction of the digestive system — food poisoning, a severe stomach infection, or something of the sort. These are usually temporary and may require minor, minimal treatment, if at all. Your system will usually clean itself in a couple of days, but in some cases antibiotics may be needed to fight the infection. The main problem with such conditions is the danger of dehydration, so you should make sure that you drink enough water, preferably a solution with salt and sugar in it. If you are unable to keep even fluids down, you should visit a doctor immediately. More severe stomach infections and food poisoning may require hospitalization.
Severe nausea caused by other conditions that have nothing to do with the digestive system may also ultimately result in vomiting. These include a severe cough as well as more dangerous conditions such as a brain tumor or cerebral hemorrhage, uremia, and abnormally low levels of blood sugar. If your digestive system is working fine, one of these conditions may be the cause of your vomiting. In any case, if you have been vomiting for more than a few days, you need prompt medical attention and possibly hospitalization.
