Alternative Cure for Sore Gum
You can try a few home remedies for short term relief, but your gum soreness and pain probably indicates that there is some gum infection or condition that requires treatment, and a home remedy will probably not work as a substitute for a visit to the dentist.
Some of the measures you can take to soothe your gums are not really home remedies, but normal practices for hygiene and maintenance of your teeth and gums. Brush your teeth twice a day using suitable toothpaste should help, but do not use too much force, or you will only damage your gums further.
In addition, you can gently floss your teeth and rinse your mouth using a mouthwash daily. See if you can get an antibacterial mouthwash, as this will be more effective. A warm salt water rinse can also be quite effective in getting rid of bacteria and soothing the gums. Baking soda is also useful — simply make a paste of baking soda and water, and apply it to your gums for a couple of minutes.
If necessary, you can also apply an ice pack, but this is probably more of a short term solution than any of the others, as it will only temporarily numb the pain without getting rid of the bacteria or whatever else is bothering your gums.
