Alternative Cure for Vaginal Yeast Infection
Vaginal yeast infections can be taken care of at home. To begin with, apply a pack made of ice cubes to the affected area for momentary relief. Prepare a mixture of one part hydrogen peroxide and two parts water and use this to wash your genitals.
Remember to wash from front to back, as this will ensure that you are completely clean. This is also an effective sanitizing measure. As an alternative, you can use baking soda or organic vinegar for the same purpose.
Applying fresh, unflavored, unsweetened yogurt will help fight the infection. You have to leave it on for about 20 minutes, and the active live bacteria in the yogurt will feed off and destroy the fungal infection. You must drink large quantities of water, as this will help you considerably in flushing out toxins from your system. Drinking large quantities of cranberry juice will also help considerably, since cranberries are prohibitive to infections. For taking care of the problem in the future, make certain habits a part of your lifestyle. Wear only cotton panties, and always wash them in hot water after each use. Try to change your panties as often as you can. These simple methods should ensure basic cleanliness and will go a long way in fighting any infections in the future.
