Fever alternative cures

A fever is not a disease by itself but rather a symptom of some other ailment or infection caused by a virus or bacteria. A fever occurs when white blood cells combat an infection by releasing a substance known as pyrogen, which signals the hypothalamus to set the body temperature at a higher point. When the temperature reaches above 100 degrees it results in a fever.

Thus, it is your body’s own attempt to fight off an infection or bacteria using heat, and the sweating associated with fever is merely a way of the body not letting itself overheat.

The best way to remedy a fever is to dilute some salt in a bowl of water so that it forms a saturated saline solution, and then dip a folded handkerchief into the solution and place it on the person’s head. This helps bring the temperature down and provides immediate relief from the headaches. Drink a lot of water to avoid and compensate for the dehydration. You can also drop the temperature of the fever by the following remedy: boil in water two to three teaspoons of fenugreek powder, to which you also have to add a drop of clarified butter. Filter the mixture and drink it. Willow bark has also known to have an aspirin related compound, use by brewing it and drinking it in small quantities.
