Tips for Body detoxification Detoxification diets and treatments are mostly unnecessary. Almost all the necessary detoxification is done by the body itself — this is in fact the job of organs such as the liver and kidneys, to remove toxic substances from the blood and the body. Beyond this, detoxifications plans are mostly useless, and at best will give your body a break from substances that you probably should not be using in the first place.
The best strategy is to avoid using these substances at all, or at least cutting down consumption of them. Your intake of alcohol, tobacco, and caffeine should be cut down, if not stopped entirely — tobacco in particular, as it affects your son's health too. If you do not use any of these substances in any case, so much the better.
Ensure that your diet is healthy — avoid junk food and anything that has too much oil, spice, or preservatives. You should also limit your intake of high fat foods, and increase your intake of foods that contain fiber, such as fruits and vegetables. Fiber helps to keep your bowels clean and healthy, by thoroughly cleaning out waste from your digestive tract. In addition, some amount of daily exercise for both of you will keep your bodies in good condition, able to do their own cleaning up of toxic substances.
