Home Remedies for Fever Blisters Fever blisters are small red coloured boils. These appear around the mouth and nose and are usually painful. These tiny red boils, filled with a liquid, usually make their appearance when the body is at its weakest.
If you have just had a fever or even a cold or been through a lot of stress, then the body reacts with these little boils. These boils can be passed on to other people and are highly contagious. You should adopt all the requisite precautions to ensure that this is not passed to anyone else.
An ice pack is the easiest remedy to cure these blisters. Hold the ice pack to the blisters for a few minutes through out the day. After you have used a tea bag to make tea, you can apply this tea bag on your blisters. Leave it there for a few minutes before you take it off. Avoid eating chocolates, peanuts, grains or any kind, oatmeal and peas. You should also completely avoid drinking any tea or coffee. Instead, you should drink lots of water and fruit juices. You can also apply common salt on the blisters. The juice of Aloe Vera is also effective in treating these boils.
