COPD alternative remedies Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder is a bronchial disease that can make breathing difficult for you.
You can help your husband feel better by humidifying the rooms in your house. You can either use a humidifier or else use bowls of water to add moisture to the air in the house.
Inhaling steam is also an effective way of clearing your chest of the phlegm. You can use a hot shower to create steam which you can inhale. Heating a pot of water till it lets out steam is another good idea. Adding some peppermint of eucalyptus oil to this water is also a good idea.
You should also drink lots more fluids since this helps to thin the sputum and help the body get rid of it. Water, juices, soups, tea - you can drink any of these to help you. Gargling with warm water will also give you relief. You can also add a pinch of salt to the water just before gargling. Resting is the best thing that your husband can do and you should encourage him to do this. Keep his room well- ventilated to ensure that plenty of fresh air enters it and keeps it fresh.
