Home cure for conjunctivitis

Try these simple remedies for treating conjunctivitis at home –

• Take a clean cotton cloth, dip it in warm water and wipe your eyes with this cloth to keep them clean. Don’t allow the formation of crusts on the eye. It is very important to keep the eyes clean to fasten the healing time.
  
  
  
• Put 2 drops of baby shampoo in a liter of warm water. Dip a cotton ball in this and clean your eyelids. This is also very effective way to treat conjunctivitis.
  
  
  
  
• Never scratch your eyes, as this can put pressure on the cornea and may even worsen the infection. Let your eye heal by itself.
  
• To avoid crusting of eyes in the morning when you wake up, put a drop of your prescribed medication before going to bed.
  
• Conjunctivitis is a contagious infection, so to avoid its contact with other members of the family wash towels and other clothes which come in contact of the eye separately. Wash your hands each time you touch your eye to avoid further infection.
