Advice and remedies for ring worm

I have a small ring like shape that I notice on my right back shoulder. It appears to be ring worm but really not sure. No itching or redness has occurred but if it is, is there a home remedy in treating ring worm?

Ring worm remedies

Ringworm infection can be easily identified because of the round or oval of raised skin that you will notice on your body. The skin is usually scaly and pink in colour. You will notice that the skin inside the circle is usually pink and looks as though it is uninfected.

Ringworm infection is accompanied by itching and in fact, the infection spreads to other parts of the body through the itching. Ringworm is usually noticed in the scalp, feet, on the body and the feet of people.  If you have not experienced any itching then you should visit a doctor to identify the exact nature of the infection before you begin treating yourself for ringworm infection.

One of the first things to do is ensure that the infected area is kept clean and dry. Infections of any kind begin due to damp conditions. You should wash yourself well and then dry yourself completely. Avoid touching the ring that you have noticed on your back. Touching it or scratching it and squeezing it will only cause the infection to spread.  Instead you can use a towel that has been dipped in hot water as a compress on the raised ring on your shoulder. You can do this at least thrice a day or till you notice that the ring has subsided.
