For instant relief, there is always the solution to have a glass of full of ice cubes to which 100 ml of milk has been added handy. Sip from this regularly in order to reduce acidity. The milk will also coat the stomach lining and will prevent the acid from having further corrosive action on the stomach as well. Apart from this, it is also a good idea to chew on mind leaves. This will be extremely helpful in easing the burning sensation that typically accompanies acidity. Remember that these are long term solutions that will help a lot. Exercise is also a great way to freshen up an acidic system. However, do remember that it is advisable to always drink large amounts of water before and after exercise as otherwise; you will get dehydrated, which will only make your acidity worse. Eating foods that help to squelch acidity is also a good idea. Bananas and potatoes are particularly useful in this regard. Remember that fries are not included in this – potatoes would have to be boiled and eaten to reduce acidity. Stay away from citrus fruits, as they also add to acidity.
