Natural Cure for Gastritis

by Kevin Pederson
Gastritis is a very common medical condition that is characterized by the inflammation of the stomach lining. The condition gets its name from the fact that it affects the gastrointestinal tract and, as a result, causes a substantial amount of discomfort. Gastritis is considered to be an autoimmune disorder that develops as the result of the backup of bile in the stomach as well as the long term use of NSAIDs or nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drugs.

Some of the more common symptoms of gastritis include abdominal pain, heartburn, hiccups, appetite loss as well as vomiting and dark stool. There are a number of other factors that will also play a substantial role in the development of gastritis. For instance, some of the more common causing conditions include the excessive use of alcohol, cigarette smoking, and excessive intake of coffee and acidic beverages.

One should also be aware of the fact that too much stress on the body also causes a buildup of stomach acids in the body – thereby directly leading to the development of gastritis.

Because of the fact that the condition is such a common one, there are a number of natural cures for treatment of gastritis. All of these treatments for gastritis have been developed and tested the world over. Consumption of coconut water is considered to be an effective treatment of gastritis. Besides this, treatment of gastritis would also include simply consuming 200 ml spinach juice mixed with 300 ml carrot juice. Another very effective natural treatment of gastritis pain and discomfort is the use of a hot bag or a warm compress. You could place this on the empty stomach for a lengthy period of time. In a while, you are likely to notice the pain start to subside. Another very effective gastritis remedy is to add to a cup of boiling water some amount of peach leave at least around 2-3 teaspoons and then drink this mixture when it is warm. It is highly recommended that you drink this at least about 3 times over the course of the day. As important as it is to know about the various treatments for gastritis, it is also important to be aware of the factors that are likely to cause more damage than good to your system. For instance, it is extremely important that you avoid smoking, consumption of alcohol and any acidic beverages such as coffee as they will only serve to worsen the condition.
