Home Remedies for Dry Hair
by Kevin Pederson
Environmental pollution, coloring, ironing, harsh chemicals and the weather are some of the reasons responsible for dry hair. Before visiting an expensive salon to remedy this, try out some
home remedies for dry hair
and
dry curly hair
that are found in your very own kitchen.
Dry hair remedies include:
Apply
honey
to your hair and leave it on for about 20-30 minutes.
Shampoo off after some time. You will notice results after some applications of this.
Egg is one of the best
dry hair remedies
.
Take some
yogurt
in a bowl, beat an egg into this. Add some coconut oil and the juice of one lemon to this mixture. Mix well and apply and leave on your hair for about an hour and a half. Avoid shampooing your hair after this. Simply rinse the mixture off with warm water.
You can also beat an egg into a cup of skimmed milk. When it becomes frothy and the foam is consistent, rub the mixture onto your scalp. Leave this on for five minutes and then rinse off. Do this twice a week for best results.
Dry hair remedies
also include using beer. Put some beer into a spray bottle and spray beer onto your hair after you have washed and dried it. The smell will disappear very quickly and you will be left with shiny and glossy hair. This works best if you are going to blow dry your hair after washing it.
One of the most well known dry hair remedies and
dry hair treatment
involves the use of coconut oil. Add some crushed almonds to already warmed coconut oil. Massage this onto your scalp; take a towel and soak it in warm water, wring the towel and wrap it round your head. Repeat this procedure once more when the towel gets cool. This will help to moisturize your dry hair.
Mash up two
bananas
with some curd. Apply this mixture to your hair, start from your scalp and move downwards. Once you are done, cover your hair with a shower cap and leave this on for about 20 minutes. Wash off the mixture. You will notice a change in the texture after this treatment.
Here are some
dry hair tips
:
Do not blow dry your hair too often or use chemical based colors or gels. These make your hair lifeless and hard.
Follow a
good hair care
routine. Condition your hair regularly.
Eat a well balanced diet for healthy hair.
